In this assignment I’ll explain number A3,B6 and C4 based on the last number of my Npm

3. Water boil at 212 degrees F, and freezes at 32 degrees F.

Answer: B
Reason: The wrong answer is B ( boil ) it should be boils because the context of the sentence is simple present tense, the form of simple present is s+v1+ s/es. If in a written context the subject is noun it should add s/es in the end of the verb. So the right must be: water boils at 212 degrees F, and freezes at 32 degrees F.

6. She won’t be going to the conference, and neither won’t her colleagues.

Reason: The wrong answer is B (be going to) because the tenses is future tense beside that the form of this sentence is negative, the form of the negative form is ( s+ will not/ won’t + v1) so the answer it should be use v1 go not be going to. The ritht answer it should be she won’t go to the conference , and neither won’t her colleagues.

4. Tom and her sister studies biology last year, and so does Jean.

Reason : The wrong answer is C ( last year ) and D (so does jean so). because the tenses is simple present but the adverb of time is simple past it could not be contrast, beside that in D, the structure of the sentence is wrong it must be ( jean does so ). so the right answer should be tom and her sister studies biology, and jean does so.
